By downloading, installing, registering for, or using any part of the Service, you enter into a legally binding contract with Vallow effective as of the date of your first access. If you are accepting on behalf of a legal entity, you represent that you have authority to bind that entity.
These Terms incorporate by reference our Privacy Policy, Community Guidelines, and any other policies we publish within the Service. In any conflict, these Terms shall prevail unless a supplementary policy expressly governs a specific subject matter.
These Terms are drafted in English, which is the controlling language. Any translation is for convenience only; in any inconsistency, the English version governs.
The Service is available exclusively to individuals who are 18 years of age or older. By registering, you represent and warrant that you are at least 18. We reserve the right to immediately terminate any account where we have reasonable grounds to believe the holder is under 18, without prior notice or liability.
You agree to provide truthful, current, and complete registration information, including your real date of birth. Providing false information to circumvent the age restriction is a material breach of these Terms and grounds for immediate permanent account termination.
Each individual may maintain only one active Vallow account. Creating duplicate accounts to evade bans, suspensions, or enforcement actions is prohibited and may result in permanent termination of all associated accounts.
You may register via Apple Sign-In or Google. By doing so, you authorize Vallow to receive limited profile information from those providers as permitted by your consent settings, subject to their respective terms and privacy policies.
The Service may not be available or fully functional in all jurisdictions. Fish encyclopedia species coverage, weather integration, and community features may vary by region. You are responsible for ensuring your use complies with the laws of your country of residence.
You are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. Do not share your password with any third party. Vallow will never request your password through any communication channel.
Notify us promptly at service@vallow.us if you suspect unauthorized use of your account. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Vallow is not liable for losses arising from unauthorized use prior to your notification.
You are fully responsible for all activity occurring through your account, including all catch records logged, gear items added, community content published, and purchases made, whether or not personally initiated by you.

We strive for continuous availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The Service may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, infrastructure issues, or events beyond our reasonable control. Weather feature availability depends on third-party weather API uptime.
Vallow is continuously developed. We may add, modify, or discontinue features at any time. We will provide reasonable advance notice of material changes, particularly those affecting catch log formats, premium feature structures, or encyclopedia access.
Your catch records, fishing notes, and gear inventory constitute your personal fishing logbook on Vallow. This data belongs to you. We store and maintain it on your behalf solely to deliver the logging experience. You may export your complete logbook at any time from Settings > Data > Export Logbook.
You may upload photos to each catch record. By uploading photos, you represent and warrant that you have the right to use and share these images. Catch photos must depict actual fishing catches relevant to the record. Uploading deceptive, fabricated, or unrelated imagery as catch evidence violates these Terms.
Vallow is a personal fishing journal tool. You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you record, including species identification and catch measurements. Vallow does not verify the accuracy of user-submitted catch data. Community catch data should not be relied upon as authoritative biological or ecological information without independent verification.
Weather data is sourced from third-party meteorological APIs. Vallow does not control the accuracy of weather data returned by these providers. We make no warranty as to the completeness, accuracy, or timeliness of weather information displayed within the Service.
Weather lookups use your current device location (if GPS permission is granted) or a manually entered location. Location data transmitted for weather lookups is used solely for the purpose of returning weather data for that location and is subject to the weather API provider's privacy practices, as described in our Privacy Policy.
Vallow's fish species encyclopedia provides educational content including species identification guides, habitat and distribution information, feeding behavior, best fishing seasons, recommended gear and techniques, and conservation status notes. Encyclopedia content is curated and updated by the Vallow team and third-party content contributors.
Where Vallow allows community contributions to species discussions or tips within the encyclopedia context, such content is user-generated and not vetted by Vallow for scientific accuracy. Vallow does not endorse or validate community-submitted species information.
You are solely responsible for all content you publish or submit through the Service, including catch records, photos, gear entries, community posts, comments, and fishing tips. By submitting content, you represent and warrant that you own or have all necessary rights to it and that it complies with these Terms and all applicable laws.
By publishing UGC publicly on Vallow, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, sublicensable license to host, store, reproduce, display, and distribute your content within the Service and in connection with promoting Vallow, subject to your visibility settings. You retain full ownership of all original content you create.
Publication of UGC on Vallow does not constitute our endorsement or verification of that content, including claimed catch sizes, species identifications, or fishing technique effectiveness.
You may delete your content at any time. Deleted content is removed from public view within 48 hours, from production servers within 30 days, and from backup archives within 90 days.
Vallow's community brings together anglers of all skill levels, fishing styles, and backgrounds. We ask all members to engage with generosity, sportsmanship, and mutual respect — the same values that make fishing a universally beloved pursuit. Constructive technique tips and honest spot recommendations are welcome; harassment, misinformation, and prohibited content are not.
When sharing catches publicly, you agree to submit accurate information to the best of your ability. Deliberately falsifying catch data (e.g., fabricating weight or size records, submitting catches you did not catch, or misrepresenting species) to deceive the community or claim fraudulent records violates these Terms.
You may not use Vallow to harass, bully, threaten, or target any individual. Violations result in immediate enforcement action and may be reported to law enforcement.
Content promoting hatred or discrimination against individuals or groups based on race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or any other protected characteristic is strictly prohibited.
You may not use Vallow community features to post spam, unsolicited commercial messages, or unauthorized product promotions. Fishing brand partnerships or sponsored content must be clearly disclosed as such.
Vallow is exclusively for users 18 years of age or older. We implement date-of-birth verification at registration and apply detection measures to accounts suspected of being operated by minors. Confirmed underage accounts are immediately and permanently terminated with all associated data deleted.
If you are a parent or guardian and believe a minor has created a Vallow account, contact us immediately at service@vallow.us. We will investigate and, where confirmed, permanently delete the account and all associated data without delay.
All rights, title, and interest in the Service — including the Vallow name, logo, application design, interface, software, weather algorithms, fish encyclopedia content created by Vallow, and recommendation systems — are owned by or licensed to Vallow and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Nothing in these Terms grants you any right to use Vallow's trademarks or proprietary marks without prior written consent.
You retain full ownership of all original catch records, fishing notes, gear inventories, and photos you create and submit to Vallow. Vallow does not claim ownership of your personal fishing logbook content.
The fish encyclopedia content curated and authored by Vallow is the intellectual property of Vallow and may not be reproduced, extracted, or commercially exploited without written authorization. Community contributions to encyclopedia discussions remain the intellectual property of their authors subject to the license grant in Section 8.2.
If you submit ideas, suggestions, or feedback about the Service, you agree that Vallow may use such feedback freely without obligation. You assign to Vallow all intellectual property rights in such feedback to the extent assignable under applicable law.
If you believe content on Vallow infringes your copyright, email service@vallow.us with subject "Copyright Notice" including identification of the protected work, identification and location of the allegedly infringing content, your contact details, a good-faith belief statement, and a declaration of accuracy and authority.
Subject to your full and continued compliance with these Terms, Vallow grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable, limited license to install and use the Vallow application on devices you own or control, solely for your personal, non-commercial use to access the Service as intended.
This license does not include any right to: sublicense, resell, or commercially exploit the Service or any encyclopedia content; copy, modify, or create derivative works based on the Service; reverse engineer or disassemble any part of the Service; access the Service via automated means including bots or scrapers; or circumvent any security or access control feature.
All rights not expressly granted are reserved by Vallow. Unauthorized use terminates your license and may expose you to legal liability.
All in-app purchases are processed exclusively through Apple App Store or Google Play. Vallow does not store your payment card details. We receive only anonymized transaction confirmation tokens and entitlement data.
If Vallow offers premium features (such as expanded logbook storage, detailed weather forecasts, or full encyclopedia access): (a) access is non-transferable between accounts; (b) non-refundable except as required by applicable law or app store policy; (c) may be discontinued with reasonable advance notice; and (d) may be forfeited upon account termination for cause.
Subscriptions auto-renew at the end of each billing period unless cancelled at least 24 hours before renewal via App Store or Google Play account settings.
Except as required by applicable law or app store policies, all digital content sales and premium feature purchases are final. Refund requests must be directed to the relevant app store platform.
Vallow's weather feature relies on third-party meteorological data providers. We are not responsible for the accuracy, timeliness, or completeness of weather data returned by these providers. Weather API outages may cause temporary unavailability of the fishing weather feature.
Where Vallow displays maps for catch location viewing or community spot browsing, third-party mapping services are used. These providers are governed by their own terms and privacy policies.
The Service may contain links to external resources such as fisheries authority websites, conservation organizations, or gear manufacturer pages. Vallow is not responsible for the content, accuracy, or privacy practices of any third-party site. Visiting external links is at your own risk.
Use of Vallow from the Apple App Store is additionally subject to Apple's App Store Terms. From Google Play, additionally subject to Google Play's Terms. In any conflict, the applicable platform's terms prevail for platform-specific matters.
Conservation status information in the fish encyclopedia is provided for general educational awareness only and may not reflect current legal protection status in your jurisdiction. Always verify the legal protection status of any species with your local wildlife or fisheries authority before targeting that species.
You may not use Vallow to plan, coordinate, advertise, promote, or log catches resulting from illegal fishing activities. Catch records that appear to document legally prohibited takes (e.g., protected species, illegal methods) may be removed and relevant authorities may be notified where legally appropriate.
In connection with your use of the Service, you agree not to:
You may not use the Service to develop competing products, systematically extract Vallow's fish encyclopedia content, or conduct unauthorized commercial activities through the Service. Fishing brands, tackle manufacturers, or guide services wishing to use Vallow for commercial promotion should contact us to discuss appropriate partnership arrangements.
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, VALLOW DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
VALLOW DOES NOT WARRANT THE ACCURACY, COMPLETENESS, OR TIMELINESS OF WEATHER DATA OR FISHING SUITABILITY ASSESSMENTS PROVIDED THROUGH THE SERVICE. WEATHER INFORMATION IS SOURCED FROM THIRD-PARTY PROVIDERS OUTSIDE VALLOW'S CONTROL. YOU RELY ON WEATHER FEATURES ENTIRELY AT YOUR OWN RISK AND MUST EXERCISE INDEPENDENT JUDGMENT ABOUT FISHING SAFETY.
VALLOW DOES NOT WARRANT THE ACCURACY, COMPLETENESS, OR CURRENCY OF FISH ENCYCLOPEDIA CONTENT, INCLUDING SPECIES IDENTIFICATION INFORMATION, HABITAT DATA, CONSERVATION STATUS, OR FISHING TECHNIQUE RECOMMENDATIONS. ENCYCLOPEDIA CONTENT IS FOR GENERAL EDUCATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY.
VALLOW DOES NOT ENDORSE, VERIFY, OR WARRANT THE ACCURACY OF ANY USER-GENERATED CATCH RECORDS, FISHING TIPS, SPOT RECOMMENDATIONS, OR OTHER COMMUNITY CONTENT. YOU RELY ON COMMUNITY CONTENT AT YOUR OWN DISCRETION AND RISK.
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL VALLOW OR ANY OF ITS AFFILIATES, OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AGENTS, OR LICENSORS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES OF ANY KIND, INCLUDING LOSS OF CATCH LOG DATA, LOSS OF PROFITS, PERSONAL INJURY, PROPERTY DAMAGE, OR HARM ARISING FROM RELIANCE ON WEATHER FEATURES, ENCYCLOPEDIA CONTENT, OR COMMUNITY INFORMATION, EVEN IF VALLOW HAS BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.
Vallow's total cumulative liability to you for all claims arising from these Terms or the Service shall not exceed the greater of: (a) the total amount you paid directly to Vallow (excluding amounts paid to Apple or Google) in the twelve months preceding the claim; or (b) USD $50. Where applicable law does not permit certain caps, Vallow's liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted.
The limitations in this Section reflect a reasonable allocation of risk and form an essential element of the agreement between you and Vallow. Vallow would not be able to offer the Service at its current pricing without these limitations.
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Vallow and its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, contractors, and agents from and against all claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from: (a) your use of the Service; (b) your content; (c) your breach of these Terms; (d) your violation of applicable law, including fishing regulations; (e) your infringement of any third-party right; or (f) any harm caused to other users or third parties through your conduct on the platform.
Vallow reserves the right to assume exclusive control of any matter subject to your indemnification. You agree to cooperate fully and may not settle any claim imposing obligations on Vallow without our prior written consent.
Before initiating formal proceedings, contact us at service@vallow.us describing the dispute and the relief sought. We will respond in good faith within 30 days. If not resolved within 60 days, either party may proceed to formal dispute resolution.
Except for small claims court matters and except where prohibited by applicable law, all disputes arising from these Terms or the Service shall be resolved by binding individual arbitration administered by a recognized arbitral institution in the jurisdiction of Vallow's principal place of business. The arbitrator's decision is final and may be entered as a judgment in any court of competent jurisdiction.
YOU AND VALLOW EACH WAIVE THE RIGHT TO A JURY TRIAL AND TO PARTICIPATE IN ANY CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT OR CLASS-WIDE ARBITRATION. All claims must be brought individually. If this waiver is found unenforceable for any claim, the arbitration provision in Section 20.2 shall not apply to that claim.
For users in jurisdictions where mandatory arbitration or class action waivers are unenforceable (including EU member states and the United Kingdom), these provisions shall not apply to the extent prohibited. Such users retain the right to bring disputes before courts of competent jurisdiction in their country of residence.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Vallow is incorporated, without regard to conflict of laws principles, except where mandatory consumer protection or data protection laws in your country of residence impose higher standards that cannot be contracted out of.
If you are a consumer in a jurisdiction with mandatory consumer protection legislation, your statutory rights are not limited by these Terms. In any conflict, your statutory rights prevail to the extent of the conflict.
You may delete your account at any time via Settings > Account > Delete Account or by emailing service@vallow.us. We encourage you to export your logbook before deletion. Termination does not entitle you to a refund of premium feature fees, except as required by applicable law.
We may suspend or permanently terminate your access at any time, with or without prior notice, if we determine you have violated these Terms, engaged in unlawful activity (including illegal fishing), or pose a risk to the safety or integrity of the platform or its community.
Upon termination, your access ceases immediately. Publicly shared catch records may remain visible unless you request deletion before termination. Provisions that by nature survive termination continue to apply, including Sections 8.2, 11, 16, 17, 18, 19, and 20.
We may add, modify, or discontinue features at any time. We will provide reasonable advance notice of material changes where practicable, particularly for changes affecting catch log formats, weather feature access, encyclopedia content policies, or premium feature structures.
Material changes are communicated at least 14 days before taking effect via in-app notice, push notification, and/or email. Non-material clarifications may be updated without advance notice.
Continued use of Vallow after any revised Terms' effective date constitutes acceptance. If you do not accept, stop using the Service and delete your account before the changes take effect.
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and Community Guidelines, constitute the entire agreement between you and Vallow regarding the Service. If any provision is found invalid or unenforceable, it shall be modified minimally to make it enforceable, or severed if not possible. Our failure to enforce any right is not a waiver. You may not assign these Terms without our prior written consent. Vallow may assign them in connection with a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, with notice to affected users. Vallow is not liable for delays or failures in performance resulting from events beyond our reasonable control, including natural disasters, government actions, infrastructure failures, or weather API outages.

Use the in-app Report function on any content or user profile, or email service@vallow.us immediately with subject "CSAE Report." These are our highest-priority safety matter, actioned without delay.
